Lucas, Prince of Darkness. Having had an MGB millions of years ago, I know about Lucas electronics.

Q: What do you call an MG with dual exhaust?
A: A Wheelbarrow!

There was a time when I had similar feelings about the French army, but if you look back a little farther in history I think you will find they were the ones that brought order and discipline to our Continental army during the revolutionary war. Without them we might well still be British colonies

I used to have a MotoGuzzi motorcycle. It was a great compliment to Italian engineering, I loved that machine. It looked and felt like a motorcycle should feel and look. But it had a Lucas electrical system. ('72 model year) I quickly learned that the entire system needed rewiring, and did so with Suzuki controls. Perhaps not the best, but infinately better than Lucas.
