I pulled my first engine out of a 55 chevy 4dr wagon under a tree using a chain hooist when i was 14. Damn leaves and crap kept falling on me.

Never did get that engine running again. Put new rings in it and I couldn't turn it over. I didn't know about carbon build up in the ring lands. Such a simple thing that did me in.

I didn't have anyone I could ask about it. I basically got all my knowledge from hot rod mags and the skool of hard knocks.

I won some and lost some. But in the end nothing beats old skool experience.

Earned an ER visit trying to put oil pan gasket in girlfriend’s car. Soon after she earned an ER visit riding behind me on trail bike with contacts in. Apparently rips eye in wind. She was sexy with the eyepatch, but it ended soon after that.

That reminds me of the army harley motorcycle manual of ww2 vintage.
Title - How to fall from the solo motor cycle
picture of rider on his back about 10 feet from the bike laying on its side
Caption - correct
next picture - same rider on his back but with the motorcycle laying across him.
Caption - Incorrect

I cant remember if there was any more information but I used to laugh myself silly whenever I saw it.
