Articulated Arm Holder

Uh oh... I think in the transition we lost some posts? No?

I have mine insulated so it doesn't arc.

Great project! You did a really nice job. Thing about builds such as this is the enjoyment continues every time you use it.

Looks like our conversation was deleted during the changeover. I have about half of the design modeled based on the photo's you shared. I'm not sure if the details match your design but should be close. I haven't looked at any tolerance's or fits yet, not sure if they're needed or not as I will make most of it to fit rather than exactly to print. This looks like it will be a fun and very useful project to tackle when I can get around to it. Thanks again for sharing it.

The main specifications I used are these:
3/4 " ball for the distal joint. 1" ball for the proximal joint. 3/4" by .120 wall tubing. The rest you can work out to suit your materials and needs. If you figure out a better clip arrangement please post it! For the distal joint I turned the tubing down to .700" and used a clip made from .030 wire. For the larger joint I left the tubing at .750 and used .065 wire.
