I Lye every time I cook in the kitchen and most times when I cook in the basement.

Wife: You're not putting 6 whole cloves of garlic in the sauce again, are you.

LYE: No honey, we talked about this (Throw 1/4 clove out of 6 in trash)

Wife: You're not using the entire onion in that are you?

LYE: No dear (Throws 1/8 bigger than normal onion in trash)

Wife: You're not using a whole stick of butter in that are you?

LYE: No dear (Eats 1 slice of butter out of entire stick)
