Brown And Sharp 000

.....snnip..... I am about 99% sure that it is a metric pitch .....snip.......

Brown & Sharpe did not use any metric gearing on any of their machines in their days if existence. Most is standard diametric pitches with both 14-1/2 and 20 degree pressure angles common on their machines. Could be some circular pitches used too, but no metric!

Yes sir .... but the rack is off an Italian made table saw fence .

That is probably a Module pitch of some sort....
Now I know there rest of the story that I somehow missed...Sorry. Ken
 
Some good news .... stopped by the salvage yard and there are a couple lathes that still have the rack and pinion For the carriage on them .
so if what I have mocked up works reasonably well I can get some proper parts for almost no money .
Thanks to ulma doctor I have a cutter on the way to give it a test
I'm pretty excited :)
