Anyone here built a Derringer, or know of plans for one?

Thanks Bill. I checked out that site and several others. I guess what I had in mind isn't available, but I do like the general lines of the Remington Derringer. Or is it Deringer? Not interested in touching off a large centerfire or 3" .410 out of a <1 pound pistol with a two finger grip, so maybe a custom variant would work better for me, possibly in .22 Mag. Its just for fun - and to see if I can actually produce one.

Ideas are welcome.

My parts came to $48 minus shipping. The side plates are top notch and worked perfectly. I turned a couple inserts in 32 S&W and 38 SPL for mine. Lots of fun! Also, google Jaco derringer plans.

Thanks for the pics. I know those flats and breech plate are top quality. I love the inserts as well. This one is on my build list. (Has been for a while. Times three, one for each child.)

Thanks for the pics 0369. You turned the barrel insert - is it rifled or smooth bore? Maybe it doesn't matter in such a short barrel?
I know rifled inserts are available, but I was curious to learn more about your's.
