Dividing head worm gear housing fix

I guess so. That might depend on how far in the recess section is. But to play safe I think brazing would be the best option.

Hi guys.
Just an update on how I fixed the housing based on the advice I got from you guys.

I machinde the housing down about 4mm and 3mm in. I the made a pressfit sleeve slightly oversized on the od and undersize on the id and tapped it onto the housing and clocked everything up.



I then brazed it and machined down to size. It came out better than expected.





Well this beat making a whole new part any day.
