They said its a milling machine, but are not sure.

It is a Second Operation lathe, from the WWII era. It looks like it has a horizontal carousel tool changer instead of a tailstock. Coutld be an interesting toy, especially at $250. Would way outperform those 7 X 30 mini lathes at half the price.
