Emco v13 carriage lock?

The topslide or compound slide looks odd to me. Do you think this is original to the emcos. I am referring to the piece that is round just before the actual handle. The piece that transitions from the rectangular slide to the aluminium handle. It looks elongated or longer than the original.
 
Good eye. The lead screw mount for the cross slide is stock, the one for the compound is not.
 
Thank you for the help guys. I think I am going to part with my other V13. Is there an appropriate way to post on HM for things for sale? Or is that prohibited?
