think 2 hp servo motor with toothed direct drive. Reverse now works just as good as forward as there is no belt tension spring.
Spindle speeds are: 180 to 2,200. No need to change the belt position, just turn the speed knob.
also has Soft start, Braking and access to run and stop remotely.
