If your Estop is a latching switch it can be wired between L and the fwd/rev switch and that will remove the run signal causing the vfd to stop and stay stop till the E stop is unlatched.
I have mine set up with latching relays similar to the diagram previously posted so that i can use the original switches and the stop removes power from the relays.
