Hendey 12 X 30

Congrats on your Hendey. I also have a Hendey. It's a 12x6 that I dragged home a few years ago. I just got mine back together.
Mine is from about 1918 and called a cone head.
If you contact the guy that runs that Hendey site linked above, he is the Hendey guru. He has access to the build records from Hendey. I think his name is Tony.
 
If you google Tony Griffiths Engineering you will see the most extensive listing and descriptions of machine tools ever put together. There is a detailed history with pictures of the Hendey factory. Those lathes were made to the greatest degree of perfection available. They made everything,including super precision leadscrews. Many other makers apparently bought their leadscrews from other suppliers.
