First of all I live on a sailboat in the Eastern Caribbean. I have 2 x 20 lb bottles with large fittings which I believe are called QC of QCC fittings. [ 1-5/16" ACME maybe ] Anyway the hose that connects the bottle to the regulator has a large plastic nut which is done up hand tight. I need a propane torch to let me silver solder a piece of 3/8th stainless into a 2 inch chunk of brass. I will use low melting point silver solder. At some time in the future I may make a small copper boiler.
I thought I would buy this torch that comes with 3 nozzles. https://www.harborfreight.com/propane-torch-with-three-burners-91899.html I believe it is connect directly to the bottle without a regulator.
I can see that it has a different fitting to connect to my 20 lb bottle. so I need an adapter [ I think ? ] I looked up adapters with Mr Google and was deluged with alternatives..
Anybody know what I need. Bear in mind it is a long way back to Harbor Freight or Home Depot from the Tobago Cays.
BTW I will sneak into the galley and use the big burner on the stove for some extra heat if needs be.
