Into To Angles On The Mill

Tilting table is a versatile addition,in my part of the woods they are known as the "bible" for their book like appearance
 
I have a Bridgeport mill and have the angle blocks, 3-Axis Tilting Machine Vise, sine plate, magnetic sine plate, optical bevel protractor and I guess other angle making stuff but can’t recall at the moment. In all the years I have played the HM shop I can’t say I ever used any of the said toys I have. It’s all collecting dust. I do play in the shop and use the mill. But, when I need anything angled I grab one of my angled end mills or angled side cutters. And I have tilted the BP head, but try to avoid it, because tramming is too laborious for me. As I get up there in the years, I have found that you can keep it simple and can still get the results you want without all the toys…Dave.
