Looking for small nylon gears and wiring diagram on maximat 7

I sent the STL file that middle.road found to a friend and he 3D printed one. He said it took about 45 minutes.

I still need to catch up with him to get it, and clean it up, and mount it on the three dot post/bearing to see how it goes.

He works at a commercial, custom stair manufacturer near here. Both of our schedules are crazy busy, but as soon as I can get to it I'll update you on the results.

Looks great -- do you know what kind of filament he used?

Just picked up a Maximat 7 .. headstock gear box was dry (UGGG).. cleaned out the grime and running a quick rinse of oil.. plan to change it again after a little motor time.. WHo thought to put the drain plug BEHIND the chuck... fortunately the chuck came right off.
The tool post/top slide is broke.. someone attempted a repair, if you can call it that.. So I'm looking for a replacement or alternative.
This is my first lathe.. The two small gears on my lathe are metal, perhaps someone had them made?
Would like to source an extra belt and the three nylon power feed gears.. Anybody?

What capacitor do you use for the mill? My mill is slowly, (after 2-5 minutes) heating up then reversing direction. Im not sure what I am doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @Allenigma ,

First welcome to the group!

We do have some people here that are electrical whizzes that are eager to help.
To help them to help you perhaps you can provide more info.......

This thread was about a maximat lathe, exactly what model mill are you talking about?

Can you post a picture of the motor information plate?
(voltage, HP, phase, reversing info etc.)

Are some of your wires painted? In the photo it looks like one red wire partially painted green, another red wire partially painted blask and a thirtd red wire partially painted grey, and one blue wired painted black. Sometimes that is done to identify them better.

In your picture what wires come from the power cord and what wires go to the motor?

What do the controls look like?

Thanks,
Brian

Thank you, the lathe is a maximat 7L lathe/mill combo. Its 110V the 4 wire from the middle pic is coming from the mill motor. Main power is coming from the black insuleted wire with yellow blue and black wires inside. I hooked the 20 microfarad cap to the wires for single phase per the diagram in pic 4. The motor started heating up then it reverded direction, and I shut it off. Once the motor was completly cooled off I cut it back on and 2 seconds later the cap popped. I dont know if it was the wrong cap or wiring, or something else. I have replaced the grease with the suggested mobile high temp grease and the motor seams to run smooth when it runs but the motor can only be run for a couple of min.
