Losing my friend.

My dog Cali was 16 and a half years old. she was put down today. her heart couldn't keep up with her and she has bad arthritis. she could barely support her own weight and fell down. we had her outside today for hours and she loved it. the vet said she lived 2 weeks longer than she should have.

She looks like a sweet girl. I'm sure that you were raised with her. They give so much and ask for so little. I know that you did the right thing to let her go.

I know that feeling.
There is no easy way to say goodbye to a furry friend.....and it is always difficult to know when the right time is.

I lost my friend some years ago, feel your pain, I can't bear to have another, they just don't live long enough, but at age 76 another friend might out live me ---

It is the nature of things, and is best for all concerned, but that does not make it a whole lot easier.

So sorry to hear that Peyton. She was a beautiful girl. When I had to put down my last dog we did the same thing, spending a lot of time outside in the yard
