That is the vain attempt of a tail-end baby-boomer to plan for the future.
I didn't cotton to 401(k)'s until too late. Of course 401(k)'s came into existence for 'high-earning' individuals.
Just never counted on the soulless corporate raiders who could buy out a company just for the pension plan value and then gut it.
