I use a milk crate for mine! Its fantastic as a step stool!
Tape wood blocks to your shoes. I'm 6'2 and used to be the tallest in my large family. As my nephew, who eventually surpassed me, was getting close his anticipation was growing at the same time. I flew in for Thanksgiving and was warned when I was picked up at the airport that my nephew couldn't wait to check his height against mine. I asked my sister if she had any wood blocks and duct tape at her house, she did. I walked the crowded dining room at 6'4 and crushed his hopes. One of the funniest family events ever.
That requires running a compressor in the shop I'd you don't have one, plus interferes with some of the attachments on the quill.
What I want to know is how Dave found that site so quickly

uh .......................hmmmmm . OK , I had the site favorited on the puter . I once had an 8" riser for a Bridgeport so I ordered the 12" heels above .What I want to know is how Dave found that site so quickly
