New QCTP a tad too big ..maching it down perhaps

A big thank you to all who have taken the time to give me their ideas.
I woke up this morning having slept on a lot of the posts I'd read last night , with the idea that it should be OK to leave it as is ..

The last few posts I've just read kind of confirm it.

Sometimes just throwing a percieved problem about & listening to others helps you find the solution /explanation in your own head.

I think we are all missing the obvious. He clearly needs to buy a bigger lathe so that the piston looks sexy to him when his tooling is set to center height.:)) I bet you all feel silly now, what with that staring you in the face this whole time. Happy shopping, I'll check in later as I have to rush off and buy a cxa tool post:))
