S380CPS is like a cold saw, yes, that does a good job.

Our comment was based on someone who may have limited space and budget.

Portaband can be carried out to the scrap pile to cut off the chunk of pipe to then be made square in the lathe.

Our Italian cold saw can do same, still quicker to use band saw to rough cut and square in the mill.

Cold saw currently not in shop...

That's a lot more detail than your prior post. In that you simply said the porta-band was the best and a reciprocating saw was second. The "best" really depends on the situation, and the OP didn't say anything about limited space, budget or the intended uses.
