I purchased a Stuart 501 boiler at a Swap meet.
I would like to get a pressure gauge and possibly add on to this contraption:)
Where can I get parts?
Here's a couple of pictures.

I will state the obvious. Google "steam boiler kit". Lots of sites sell them. They also have other things like pressure gauges.

Thanks. At first all I was bringing up in my search was stuff from UK.
Shipping would be a no go for that.
I just wondered if someone had a Favorite place to shop in the USA.

The YouTube channel "Blondiehacks" has a female machinist who does a series on making a steam engine AND fabricating a boiler.
I have watched it, and her techniques are sound.

She uses raw materials, to construct the boiler. She did not use a kit.

She does it as a 9 part series on her channel. It is a really nice vertical boiler design, with no corners cut.

So far, I have found.

Have not watch her series on that yet.
I will have to check it out.
I have watched Keith Appletons.
He is probably the one that got me started on this stuff.
I am subbed to both their channels.

I have the boiler in the picture above.
I just need the heat source and gauge and probably a few things I don't know about yet ,LOL.

Plan B would be to buy an old Mamod steam engine, and recycle the boiler. They can be found fairly cheap. I had one as a kid.
The link below is one which is for sell in the USA for 99 bucks buy it now price.

The Brass and the various goodies would likely cost you as much to build.

I have a E-mail sent to UK.
Hopefully I can get the original stuff.
If not I am okay with retro fit.

I will check out the e bay seller
Thanks again

I would also recommend Blackgates Engineering in the UK. They have the hardware that you might find useful. You can get a boiler water feed pump to double for the hydro-static test. Keith uses one all the time. Blondihacks uses one from Amazon. Check with you state boiler inspectors as to how and what you need to do. Rules are different for sizes, pressures and public vs private use. Take your time and Goggle and look into the steam blogs. I have about 20-30 different sources for Steam and model stuff and tools. Prices vary wildly.
Also visit Internet Archive and Google steam. The stuff there is all 100 years old but still relevant and best of all it's free.
Hope you enjoy!!!!
