PM-45M-CNC Setup and Configuration with Mach3

OK, I looked at the user manual for the PMDX-126 and this is what it says regarding power (found on p8 of the PMDX-126 Revision C users Manual, Document revision 1.9 downloadable from the PMDX site"

"If you are using an Ethernet SmoothStepper (ESS), be aware that the PMDX can supply enough power only if the ESS is the only device drawing power from the PMDX-126. If you plan to use the PMDX-107 [...] or any other device that draws power from J1, J2, J3, J4, J5, J6 or J7 then the ESS MUST be powered from an external power supply"

Hey, how are you doing your heat shrink labels. Mine always shrink over both the plastic part of the ferule and the wire. Icky looking. Yours are very well done.

These were factory placed i think. but only apply heat to the front end and they they won't shrink over the other bits they.

here are some pictures of my install. I will also attach an excel file I used to take notes of the install.

For the ss power supply i used a 5v .75A phone charge to just plug into an outlet

Your pictures and excel help out major ill let you know if it works after start up

Glad I could help. looking forward to your next update

You might want to check one of the "Step" ports on the BOB with a meter to see if it is putting out pulses when you send the command to move.
If it is, then you need to look into the stepper wiring
If it does not then it is the Mach3 config or the Motion control board or the BOB.

You might start simple by seeing if MACH3 is reading a limit switch or EStop. It has been a while but I seem to remember having challenges understanding how to configure Mach3 pin assignments.

Do you know the pulse range its supposed to be or if I get a pulse at all its fine?

Also, my Estop won't read unless it is in port 2-10 then my X++,-- and what not have to be 3-11
And Xhome would be 1-11 other than that i would get a limit switch trigger
