PM-940V

I read and read the book that came with the new vfd and decided to change the
01.01 200
01.26 200
Since the 3 phase motor said it was capable
And neither helped. Doing some more reading they never said anything about changing the first parameter
01.00 maximum output frequency 50-599 htz I placed that at 150 and the machine got up to 4980 rpms. So that will be fine. I think I changed another setting because now the small nob on the vfd is making the speed changes instead of the nob out front which should be. The setting for this is
02.00 1 instead of 2. I ran out of time to change this.
I appreciate all of your help. I'm going to email PM tomorrow.
Also the belt is on the correct position.

I don't know, but might guess that you have not shut down the programing mode? Anyway, I think the parameter for using the external pot voltage 0-10Vdc is 02.00 1 , see manual pdf page 60, or section page 4-7. Once, it is enabled this should make the VFD front knob inactive.... I think.

PS. There is a wear limit on how fast you should spin the spindle bearing. PM set it to 5000. I am not for sure I would go much faster. Setting the max on the VFD to 200Hz would represent a spindle speed of (200/150)x 5000= 6,666, or 33% higher than the factory max.
