Pratt & Whitney 3 c mill

As some know, I volunteer at the Tuckahoe Steam and Gas Association machine shop museum. We are currently selling the smaller version of the Model 3C, just called the Model 3. It includes the vertical head, arbor, dividing head, and a right angle table extension. There is also a vise but not original. Only $3,500.

Been doing some cleaning and painting , I think it's starting to look decent . I'm starting to think about a stand and motor , for a motor I'm thinking treadmill . Lots of people doing it on Youtube one guy making videos (DazeCars) I like his stuff . Lots of things were painted on the machine that were not supposed to be painted , so after removing some paint I found a feature on the X table . It's movable in degrees so you can mill a taper , I'm assuming to loosen it up to move the table + or - a degree you would loosen two bolts under the table . I loosened them (they have long tapers on their ends) the table wouldn't move but I didn't try very hard . Anyone care to comment on that ? Any comments and suggestions will be apricated
Thanks , Mark .

Here is a pic of my stand and motor. It's a very interesting Craftsman motor with adjustable RPM. I also added pictures of my dividing head and the hand miller setup

That motor is interesting Dan . How is the torque at low RPM ? Are you running the motor direct to the belts or are you using a jack shaft ? OK closer inspection I see you don't have a jack shaft . Why is the motor at an angle ?
Mark .

I sure would want one! Especially with all the wonderful little bits of tooling! A friend has one. Anything made by P&W is so sweet, only thing that I have is the 6" vertical shaper, thankful for that!
I've been looking for a P&W 6" vertical shaper for a while, but they always seem too far away or in questionable condition. Would you be willing to share any pictures of yours or advice? Thanks.
