Proper Link Belt

OK, I have no suggestions. The only difference then is that I haven't touched the motor pulley. Weird... ;)
 
I put on a Gates B26 (no inside ribs) and vibration is still there. Time to start some Internet sleuthing to see what's next to try.
 
What type of vibration, like you can feel it on the entire lathe? Link belts eliminated the "vibration" I had but it wasn't actually a vibration I could feel. Vibration is probably the wrong word in my case, it was surface finish related probably due to the single phase motor.
 
The worst of if you can see the headstock and the cross slide move. The "gentle" one you can feel on the toolpost when rest your hand on it. I've got it sent to "gentle" mode now. LOL. It's still more than before I was started messing with the belts. It'll probably cut just fine with what I have now but I'd really like to know what's going on. It's too fiddly to get right.
