I had some bearing balls so i just had to try throw something together. Il post update after its been tested.
 
He's made a thrust washer. So he can tighten it more and move it more easily.also. When tightening the nut it won't move. I've never needed it. But hey what the heck.
Ahh that makes sense....
 
I ended up doing something similar, but made a whole new handle and lever nut. Can't remember where I saw the idea...some YouTube channel. Anyway the thrust washers are cheap on Amazon. Can't say it made anything "better" but it certainly feels nicer/smoother. And not having to hunt for a 22mm wrench is nice too.
