I have an 8 inch, 3 jaw, not a set-tru. Been a good chuck for the last 25 years or so. Top quality chucks.

Thank you, Jim.

It is a brand not mentioned in most threads I read. In terms of quality would you say they compare favorably against PB, Buck, or Bison?

I have a 6.5" 3jaw and a 6.5" 4 jaw, non- set Tru Rohm Chuck. Superb build quality and function from a premier German maker. Smooth, tight and accurate. If you can afford them, go for it.

I'm not really able to make a comparison, I have never used the others.

I have a 3 jaw NOS I bought for just over $200. The runout is amazing~.0005" maybe slightly less.
Are you seeing that eBay listing?

I think there German made still, if so it should be a a very high quality and tight tolerances. They don't get much better with out spending two arms and one leg to buy.

IMHO, no chuck is good enough until it’s a set-tru. If the chuck is not a set-tru type, I would keep looking until I found one. My three cents…Dave
