Thank you for all of your suggestions. Sorry I have not responded sooner, but got pulled in a different direction and have not spent anymore time on this project. Decided I was not going to be able to devote the time needed to get this done, so found a nice person who was interested in completing this project and gave them the mill.
If I had more room I would have kept it and gotten back to looking at it later, but really have to much stuff packed into a very small shop now. Really no room for equipment that is not running and being used.
Still have an old lathe and saw in the shop, so not giving up on tinkering with old iron, just passing on this one project.
