Welding table project.

Well, I got some more time today to work with the chop saw. After several tanks of gas, (luckily I had a couple of employees that were looking for an extra hour and we took turns) I only have the four small pieces of connecting metal left. Also I need another abrasive disc, this one is a bit small now.

Thanks for looking,

Ryan

that will make two very sweet welding tables! Nice find! (now you will have to post your project for making a base for them!) :cheerful:

I finally got it done!!! (And moved to my home shop) It took forever to find the time to work on it, that is a whole other story!! I blew a hydro line on the tractor unloading it, luckily I had the excavator on site to lift it off the trailer. I purposely made enough room on the base for it to be moved with a pallet jack. I am guessing the finished weight is well over 1000 lbs. It should provide a lifetime or two of service!!
Thanks for looking.7990D706-7AEF-4434-8E1B-DBD31C1CC022.jpeg5DB81E40-0F7D-4D5C-AEC1-1C7F8A254D68.jpeg3F4FB348-484F-4121-8F46-87A05ED12BB0.jpeg86EF57FC-EBC9-4ABE-BA4A-BF8DC316C134.jpeg5F34967C-D6FA-4BBD-AA78-29169CA3DB15.jpeg6BAEAA0E-B5EA-4885-9C85-DE217304F611.jpeg7990D706-7AEF-4434-8E1B-DBD31C1CC022.jpeg5DB81E40-0F7D-4D5C-AEC1-1C7F8A254D68.jpeg3F4FB348-484F-4121-8F46-87A05ED12BB0.jpeg86EF57FC-EBC9-4ABE-BA4A-BF8DC316C134.jpeg5F34967C-D6FA-4BBD-AA78-29169CA3DB15.jpeg6BAEAA0E-B5EA-4885-9C85-DE217304F611.jpeg

I know I would eventually be annoyed by the curved portion standing above the table surface (unless it will be placed against a wall) and would have to cut them off, YMMV.

Bob, I agree with you on the rounded part, my only thought is that it is a quick, square reference area. Time will see how it works. I was kicking around mounting a vice off the rounded side also.

Robert, I am the one welding. The picture is a bit deceiving, it was a quick tack to hold the leg in place.

I would make an adapter plate for the vise to table so you can remove it and reinstall it quickly. Sometimes you want a big flat table with nothing sticking up above it, other times you want other tooling there. Make it quick change to what you need at the moment.

Colour me envious!
Nice job.

As long as it was an OSHA approved level

That is one awesome welding table!
I'm trying to visualize how you flipped it upright after welding the legs on without scratching up that pretty paint.
