What kind of chuck is this?

I bought an import MT2 3/4” keyed chuck for my lathe tailstock, and it would appear that the manufacturer didn’t get the MT2 correct because this chuck will spin in the tailstock quill even under moderate tool pressure. Very frustrating! Seems like a new JT33 to MT2 arbor could rectify this.
