Yeah there is definitely some loss in rigidity, case in point, with a tenth indicator in the spindle, push down on the back of the ram. Now, the larger knee Mills are pretty rigid, the older proto trak k4 doesn't nod.
 
I've been using a folding name brand bipod for years but now I'm getting into long-range shooting I wanted something with a wider and more stable base. After pricing them I decided to make my own. I'll be adding different feet after testing it out to see what I'm going to like best.

Well, more like project over the last few weeks;
Cigar Transport MKII ready for anodizing. After the customer tests it (in the Solomon Islands the next couple weeks) I should have 4 more to make, for a start. Pretty fancy. If I smoked cigars I'd have to have one. Is that a humidity indicator in the cover? Might consider something similar for marijuana bud storage for the CO/WA market. Mike
 
Thanks Mike. lol, that's a good idea for a 'budding' business.! Going to be anodized green so would certainly be apropos.

Those are odd holders, what kind are they? I see they are of the indexable kind
 
company called arc euro trade over here sell them.
listed for sieg c6 but fit anything of similar size.
with a shim under it will also fit my southbend without adjustment.
