I saw that. Pretty neat. The nice things about the flip open boxes is you can see what you want immediately. I have multiple draws like the rotating one, just not rotating. I had stopped using a bunch of them for a while as I hated trying to find what I was looking for. I hear the best way is to hot glue the screw , nut washer whatever to the front of the drawer, but I never did. Maybe I might go for it. I like the flip open for rebuilding too. Each assembly gets its own box and it makes it easy to rebuild a machine.Ray (and Jeff) -
I was browsing the "OUR SHOPS AND THE SPACES WE WORK IN" forum earlier today and saw what I think is a fantastic parts storage idea from samthedog. Check out post #36 in http://www.hobby-machinist.com/threads/20-foot-shipping-container-metal-shop.34187/page-2
I'm now starting to think of doing something similar - maybe make the bottom "layer" out of four Ikea "Helmers" http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40107872/ minus the casters, with everything resting on the 5-arm spider from an office chair. If the idea pans out, I'll be posting photos.

Just make the handle longer. A little too much effort needed. A little more leverage would work. And since it folds out of the way it's not a bother.I might copy your idea for my 8520! I really like that idea..
We had a storm blow through Thursday night, not bad here but my friends cottage down at the river was hit with a micro burst. They're fine as is the cottage but it had a big pine take out the chimney. The trees that weren't up rooted were shaped off. Looked like a war zone. We hauled these logs home today. The two on the right I brought home earlier in the week, they're 24 inch diameter.
On top of this his son had said he had some tooling he from a previous job that he wasn't using. All new mostly carbide. Carbide centre drills and the large file is carbide with a steel backing. Brought them up today when he came to help clean up.
