What Did You Buy Today?

I bought this one 12/31/21 and took it apart for restoration. It's still in pieces, maybe we can do ours together from opposite ends of the country....

John
I have a similar machine waiting for me to get around to fixing it up. Plan to power it with a small sewing machine servo motor like the ones @The Custom Crafter sells.

John
Looking forward to your work on it. Not sure when I will be able to go pick up mine. And I think it is a 10” , not 12”.

I need to download the manual and parts diagram to see what parts are missing and start searching for those.

I will follow the same approach as you, and use one of those motors as well.

Family member picked up the bandsaw... Missing a lot of parts. Some, I can make with the lathe and others I will search eBay for those.

Love the band saw, I like the old stuff....

I went to Horror Freight and bought an airbrush compressor, it puts out perfect pressure and volume of air with a built on regulator for my mist cooling system and its quiet, very quiet, 90 bucks.....

...

I wanted one ever since I got the Walker-Turner drill press.

@Quick Cal is looking at one that is local to him, that I hope he ends up buying. Complete machine for less than what I paid for this pile of a project. Lucky guy... I could not find one close by like that... and I have been looking for a few years now. The ones I find are far away and sellers are not willing to ship.

I saw that approach the other day on a video!! I wonder if it was you, can't remember. Cool idea!

It wasn't me, great minds think alike.... I did this because my compressor is big and load, I really didn't want to put that kind of mileage on it for the flow I needed. If I get time this coming weekend I'll take a couple pics of it...

Once I got the boring head cleaned up, I started eyeballing these. The whole kit for about $60. How can you go wrong? Should probably stock up on inserts. There's only two of each size.
