Really nice work there Bruce!
Thanks David. Not anything compared to your cnc plasma table, but gives me another project to work on. I've been accumulating blade stock and will need to store it somewhere/somehow.

@BGHansen - I just had a thought. You mentioned that it's a 16" saw. So I assume that means the diameter of the wheels is 16". A 16" wheel has a circumference of 50.27" - not too far away from 48". So if you put four equally spaced magnets on one of the wheels, used a Hall effect sensor to detect them, and told the tach there was only one tick per rotation, the RPM reading would be a close approximation to FPM.
Great idea. That'd be close enough if I go the digital route.

Thanks for the tip!

Today i spent few hours, preparing and painting all 15 steel rims. 7 of them grey and 8 flat black, that way i'll have a silver, grey and back set for my little niva. After all those paint fumes i went to a near by forest for a breath of fresh air.

I would not have thought of that, but you sure made it to be simple. Thanks.

Today i had few hours to spare, first thing that was steering me i have 2 pallets of rims in the middle of my workspace. So they need to be stored, also there was lots more tires up to the sides. So i stacked them, i also got out my stronger engine stand and did some more rearranging in my parts storage, its getting out of control there. I need to get me a big dumpster, throw away everything and start fresh.

Had a busy day loading and hauling my latest acquisition. The combine head was pretty easy. Disconnected all the attachment points and pulled it off with the trailer winch. The rancher I bought it from showed up and offered to load it with his tractor, which really speed up the process. Hauled it home, and unloaded it temporarily onto the frame rails of the Isuzu and went back for the main part. Having thought about it earlier I had decided that I could reverse the wheels and reduce the width enough to get it on my trailer. Had to pull the trailer fenders so it could roll over the tires, and with the help of Justin (the rancher), and two of his hands we winched it up, and on. The rear wheels are set off center, and we lost one wheel off the side. Bit of a butt pucker, maybe too many cooks syndrome, but Sh*t happens. Rigged up some chains and got it back on with the loader cinched it down, and rolled on home, and called it a day. Snowing today so will let it sit until things dry up again in a few days. Cheers, Mike

Time will tell. Have some things in mind, but committed to finishing the shop first, which is getting close. Then a list of really needs none items. Then perhaps some time for whimsy. Mike

Should we be expecting your invention output to be advanced by a couple of big loads too?

Case 600 combine, not a bad machine, they are a lot of work to maintain and run, no cabin so one acre feels like 3 acres but gets the job done. Get some rest Mike, i still find it strange when i see mid and bigger machines get transported in tow by pickup
