Hi all-

I've been having some troubles with my 618 that go back to when I changed the filters way back when! So I decided to tear them apart and replace them again and be more careful this time.

However, I noticed that the filter housings say "in" and "out" and wonder if I swapped one last time?

The top filter housing comes from what looks like a drain somewhere in the top, so I don't think it is worrisome. It seems to drain into the air, so I figure the 1 pipe should be "in".

The bottom one is the one I suspect was backwards. It comes from a thick black pipe in the front of the machine, and the other side immediately goes under the surface of the oil. This one had "out" as the part that goes into the oil, which I wondered if was backwards?

Does anyone have a working machine they can take a look at and confirm for me?

I have a 618 and so does Jeff . What are you after ?

Inside the door on the left side, there are two hydraulic filter housings, 1 above the door, and 1 below. I need to know which direction the 'in' and 'out' ports face for each of them.

I can investigate it in the morning Erich and hopefully help out . :) Can you post a pic ?

Pics. There should be two of these filter cases, and I'm looking for which direction 'in' and 'out' face, particularly on the lower one.

They should be inside the door on the LHS of the machine.

The first (they I care less about) should be up to the left. The one that sits 1/2 in the liquid is the one I care about, it attaches to the open pipe end in the center of the 3rd pic (just left of the vertical pipes, just above the horizontal one).
