Carbide Inserts

For honing both HSS and carbide I use diamond "files" and diamond "credit cards" from EZ lap and DMT. 600 and/or 1200 grit work well. 600 cuts faster, 1200 leaves a high polish finish. I often start with 600 and end with 1200. Good for honing scraper blades and many other things as well.

If you don't want to grind but still want to use high speed still ar warner company sells steel inserts that can be used in an indexable tool holder but I think the styles are limited to the holders they carry I think they have a video on thier site or on youtube that shows you can resharpen thier inserts on a knife stone they look pretty cool I've just never tried them cause I don't have any holders for the inserts they carry I would like to try them but I've got other stuff on my wishlist before I can spend the coin on that
