Eye safety when I need reading glasses?

I am happy with a web supplier to my prescription. I got a progressive lens (basically bifocals) pair for about $100 as i recall. They are larger lenses than my regular glasses, and have side wings also. Main problem is sometimes i forget to take them off and people giggle at me.
