I'm a go to try Fusion 360. This from a lad that has been given advanced graphic artist programs (2D) & eschewed them - much preferring the simple Paint program. There was nothing intuitive about them. But I have a need to design a simple clamp holding kit out of sheet metal. I have carefully sketched my needs & noted the measurements. But, I need to see this thing in 3D to tweak it & ensure the measure twice & bend once rule.

So far I'm at a loss for why the program hasn't installed correctly & started on it's own.

Updates as I learn what to do....................

This is a simple Paint picture I made of a bass guitar electronics setup. No stranger to complicated stuff - but still feel like an old dog with this newer tech.

They say, "Allow 30 minutes for the download to begin." Still nothing at the 47 minute mark. I'll have to try again later.

Thanks Nutfarmer. & you're right. But, I'm shaky on sheet metal bending so...

I did find an email from them & answered all their personal questions. Life story really.

If I were a comedian, I'd liken it to:
1. Have you watched "Debbie Does Dallas"?
NO
2. Did you enjoy "Debbie Does Dallas"?
Now that's a bit presumptuous isn't it?!

I created a sign on & a password (Nothing to do with Debbie or Porn OK). Still no access as of yet & approaching the 2 hr mark.

Nah JfF. Paying for the fastest cable internet in the land. I have recently been forced to submit to a Windows 10 upgrade - which isn't an upgrade at all really. This might prove to be the entire problem. Time will tell & the nut behind the wheel (me) is always suspect.

But, hey, this is why I am sharing this adventure.

I admire your tenacity. I have given up with the cad programs a long time ago. For most of what I do I can draw it before the computer loads the program.
You and me both Steve.
I just can’t figure it out.

Easiest one I've ever used. Just have to get used to thinking about the design process in it's terms I guess.
