Logan lathe

Appears to be a single phase motor? So non-reversible and no VFD speed control options (If you wanted to get one).

However. Runs on your regular shop power.

It would be interesting to know if the original 3-phase motor was bad if if they still have it and merely replaced it to avoid the 3-phase hassle?

I now own the lathe in this post after months of being for sale on FB marketplace I get a message FREE for today. So yesterday I went to pick it up In the city of Long Beach California. Surprising the lathe bed is in excellent shape except for one small chip and the missing parts are in the drawers. I got all tooling in the chip tray, the dividing head plus the cabinet drawers were full of tooling. I have a 2 hp 3 phase motor that I'll be putting on with a VFD. I also got the a linley jig borer/ milling machine came with a General Electric Polydyne Adjustable Speed Drive all for free99 I'll post pics later today
