I bet I could even get The Boss to go for it. She's not real happy with our current dining room table.
 
A shame that lathe was scrapped, there are folks that would have saved it intact.
The lathe was in a business near me and I found out that they were going to scrap it in 10 days. I didn't have room for it, but I photographed it and sent the information along to Keith Rucker of VintageMachinery.org. He posted it on his website and Facebook page and nobody wanted it. (they were asking scrap price) I stopped in the morning that it was to be picked up and removed the legs, cranks and some gears.

Well i think knowing the circumstances you did the Lathe justice. It really would have been a shame had that gone to the scrap yard. That was a unique lathe and you made a unique table out of some of it's parts. Beautiful !!!
