Wow, this sounds like an amazing place. There is someone suited for every job. The idea of being a machine tender like my idea of what running CNC machines would be a nightmare. I like the idea I’m making parts not just checking them when they spit out the back.
I hope it continues to work. It sounds like a truly rare place especially that it’s now being run by the son. My experience has been very negative with 2nd and 3rd gen places. Good luck.

The son is an Engineer. The father still shows up on occasion. We repair aircraft components there. So there is a wide variety of parts rolling in all the time. It will be nice not knowing what I will work on next.
I hope it is as good as it appears right now. 4 or 5 machinists have been there at least 8 years each.
