That's a beautiful mill, similar in size to my Benchmaster but the casting on yours look much more robust and ridged. Awesome score.

I've got my very own Little Critter now! It is not the same individual but the same model including the floor stand. The price was a so called Best Friend Price, 400 dollars, hallelujah )

The collets are 3C. I've also got a number of spare collets in good condition cheap on a Swedish auction site. )

One way to use Mr. 5's horizontal mode is to mount a grinding stone to sharpen HSS cutters that are held in the vise. It is an idea that I guess many have tested before, and it is easy and precise work compared to hand-control in front of a bench grinder.

I've now tested to grind HSS cutters with a diamond wheel and it works well.
