OT - Counterfeit Loctite?

Upon a second look, I realized that the listing states "New-LOCTITE 271" but the package does not. I also realized that the 10 ml bottles that I ordered also did not say Loctite on the bottle. I guess I'll find out.

Where I worked (lllooonnngggg agoooo...) we had to keep our loctite refrigerated. Lasted pretty good like that. No I cannot remember what number. It was blue. Not the medium blue, but b@lls to the wall blue.

If you want to save money on threadlocker try Bob Smith industries https://bsi-inc.com/hobby/ic_loc_red.html they have great reliable products, many of them are not easily found from other suppliers. Available on Amazon.

For a unique threadlocker that basically gums up the threads without the difficulty of removal caused by locktite try https://www.vibra-tite.com/threadlockers/plastic-compatible/vibra-tite-vc-3-threadmate/ Vibratite also makes traditional threadlocker and is also available on Amazon.

I've used the vibra tite, I liked it, but the problem I found with it is it's short shelf life once opened.
