Heck yeah, Neil, you experienced blast overpressure. If it took any amount of time for your hearing to come back, then damage was done. The truth is, though, ten years after reading glasses a lot of us will be getting hearing aids. They're pretty awesome these days with bluetooth and electronic signal processing. If you're in significant threshold shift (STS), that means you have a confirmed 12 dB loss or more. That means your hearing is less sensitive to sound pressure by 1,000,000,000,000 pascals.
