Shapers, what happened?

Here’s a couple pictures. It’s a decent vise. Pretty low profile for a swivel. 5” wide jaws and 5” opening View attachment 441586View attachment 441587View attachment 441588

Looks like a vise used on a horizontal mill. Very similar to the W.H.Nichols vise used on my horizontal mill.

Just a side note, I happened to look at Alibaba last night. There are quite a number of new shapers being made in China today. I only looked at a couple of them and they were pretty big.
