Toolmakers microscope ?

e use these. The Keyense are fast once the measurements are programmed.
The seem so expensive you have to register for a quote. (!!)


For years I lusted after a full sized optical comparator, but they take a lot of room, and so I think a toolmakers microscope would be smaller and fit the need quite well.
 
I know someone that has 6 in a warehouse, but he just won't part with them. When I first met hem, he was going to sell me a Nikon full sized optical comparator (18") for 500$. He keeps saying "one day"... (Apparently now I don't need one)
