Got the mill running last night "borrowing" some power from the motor of my belt sander. I had to make a pulley for the motor because it uses a v belt for the sander. On a suggestion from merkelerk, I used an automotive serpentine belt laced using speaker wire. That worked great except for the initial squeal of the belt against my shop-made, aluminum pulley. The original leather belt disintegrated in about 30 seconds. Anyway, I was able to cut metal. I still have a lot of cleaning to do and I have to come up with a permanent power set up. But it is coming along.
