What Did You Buy Today?

I got sick of my finicky old Husqvarna and bought this little jewel this week.
The caps for the gas and bar oil are a little newfangled and I didn't get the one for the bar oil on right. It fell out while I was using it and the entire contents dribbled out on my pants. Grrr
I learned how to lock the cap after that.
I replaced my circa 1988 Farm Boss 029 with a 2022 291 a couple of winters ago. Yeah, it takes a few times with the new-fangled caps to see where to start them for the quarter-turn to lock. But I LOVE that system as opposed to having to use a screwdriver to open the caps; flip the black camlock up, quarter turn and fill.

Welcome to the Oily Pants Club!

Believe it or not, the current caps are better than the first version!

The gas caps on the backpack sprayers are just as bad. When they fail to seal, guess where the gas goes!

Long ago, when I was heating on wood, I had a Stihl with a 32" bar. It started and ran well for years until someone broke the lock off my garage. I had bought it when I was working heavy construction clearing land for rural dams. A local pallet mill would give me logs that were either too short or crooked for their mill. Stihls are worth their price.
