Jpower, you won't be able to flute without a mill and an indexer or rotary table. The handle I bored the radius into the handle to match the head, then used a center in the spindle to hold it in line with the head while I welded, that way I could square it up in two planes.

Nice work. You may have mentioned this somewhere else but what size and brand is your mill? Sorry if you have mentioned this earlier.

9x42 table, 3hp ACER, I paid $950 for the mill :) no I don't suck, ima boss
 
I know that last picture makes the table look smaller than it is weird
 
couple of bits.
first is a re-purposed bench grinder, using idea from another thread.
made spacer so i could fit flap wheel to it.
works a treat now need to thicker spacer and rest for it.

second is quench tray for use with my tooling and cutter grinder, got old fire extinguisher cut base off welded bracket to it.

Are you planning on painting the inside of the pan? May want to consider epoxy paint to seal the inside. Nice project
