Bolt vs hex cap screw

The definition that I saw said that a bolt is used with a nut while a screw is not. Nowever, this belies the fact that certain engine fasteners are refereed to as head bolts.
I have always thought a screw is used where the mating hike has no thread but a bolt requires the mating hike or not to have a thread.

Bit then there are grub screws. I just tell myself they are bolts identifying as screws and we are all good with that.

A fastener can be either a cap screw or a bolt depending on how ts used. Put it in a through hole with a nut on the end then it is a bolt. Thread it into a tapped hole and it becomes a capscrew.

So then what is a bolt threaded into a tapped hole and locked in place with a jam nut called
